Intermittent means that the hours for this position vary and there is no set schedule, but rather this is an on call position. The schedule will be discussed further in the interview.
This is an on call position with a maximum of 20 hours per week. The schedule and expectations will be discussed further in the interview.
Manages the activities involved in the maintenance and repair of assigned facilities and equipment including commercial and residential properties. Performs routine and preventative maintenance and repair procedures on assigned facilities. Maintains appropriate facilities maintenance records.
Manages the activities involved in, renovation and repair projects for multiple facilities. Prepares reports, specifications, bids, cost estimates, maintains maintenance records, and orders or acquires equipment, furnishings, and supplies. Acts as liaison with facilities’ contractors to assure satisfactory work. Receives work requests from building representatives such as office managers, residents, home managers, and CMHCM staff. Initiates and authorizes repairs or replacements and verifies invoices of work performed. Provides on-call response for building emergencies and works to assure that building safety and security is maintained. Provides input on budget and manages custodial and maintenance inventory.
Assures preventative maintenance procedures on assigned building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis such as change filters in air handlers, blow out air handler drain, check and vacuum large air handler vent, and clean ceiling vents. Provides consultation to office managers on preventive maintenance plans and building repair projects. Conducts annual building site review inspections.
Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs as applicable to assigned buildings, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical maintenance such as repair or replace faucets, replace broken and stained ceiling tiles, painting and drywall repair, strip and wax all hard surface floors, fix window blinds/steam clean, repair window screens, move supplies, furniture and other equipment, rearrange conference rooms for meetings, assemble new furniture, install keyboard trays, hang pictures and other wall hangings, clean up spills and soiled surfaces, and sanitize as necessary.
Hourly Range (dependent on experience): $19.65 - $26.70 per hour
High School Graduate or Equivalent is required; Construction Management, AAS or Equivalent preferred.
Job Related Experience: Sufficient experience to perform the position at a satisfactory level required. Building maintenance, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing experience preferred. Four years maintenance experience in large building operation is preferred.
Licenses, etc.: Valid driver's license required while operating vehicle on agency business.
