A student intern will be placed within a CMHCM program while enrolled to complete an internship/student placement within the provisions of their academic program. Internships are generally provided without compensation. The internship time-frame may vary depending on the needs of the program and the requirements set by the educational institution. The student intern can work full time or part time, and the duration of the internship can vary from lasting several weeks, a semester, a summer or a whole year. This is a great opportunity for an individual interested in developing clinical and business development skills to work in a practice setting. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and eager to work with children, adolescents, and families. Intern may be allowed to be present during session if approved by consumer/family. Student interns will maintain confidentiality of consumers information in accordance with the agency's standards. Student interns will be expected to participate in meetings if appropriate.   Al internships with CMHCM are unpaid.
